You will be amazed by the detailed patterns that these headscarves portray. They are very trendy and at the same time superbly exclusive. Though they are the most common item of clothing in the Muslim world it has gained acceptance all around.

Muslim scarfs are available in various styles and designs. They are either sequined or patterned with geometric shapes or are intricately designed with floral patterns. Nevertheless they are very attractive and are also quite popular. The Muslim scarf is known as Hijab and it is a traditional wear for all women following the religion. Hijab in Arabic means a curtain or a veil. Traditionally women are compelled to wear a Muslim scarf or Hijab in public or in front of men who can marry them. It was considered to be a veil that would prevent men to get a look at the beauty of another woman. It also had a meta-physical significance wherein the scarf symbolizes as a veil to separate man from God.

Since 1970 the Muslim scarf or Hijab became more and more significant. Today it is not only worn as a veil but is also used as a headscarf. It also is protective and some women use it during winters to tie it tightly around their heads so as to prevent cold air to enter their ears. They are usually available in two different styles, one being the single piece style while the other is a two piece style.

Traditionally the Muslim scarf was worn along with full body cloaks and was generally available in dark shades of black and brown. These days they are available in a variety of fabric and are also available in vibrant colors. Earlier this piece of clothing was a sign of modesty but today it has become a fashion statement.
